About the Role

We’re seeking an Assembly Engineer to play a key role in automotive manufacturing new model preparation, equipment development, and process optimization. This position offers domestic and international travel to Japan, Mexico, and Europe for project coordination, with potential travel beginning 2+ months after hire.

What You’ll Be Doing

  1. Project Planning (50%) – Work with Plant and Final Assembly teams to strategize and execute upcoming model changes.
  2. Process & Equipment Development (30%) – Assess model change impact and define technical requirements for new equipment.
  3. Technology & Vendor Development (10%) – Drive innovation, collaborate with vendors, and enhance industry competitiveness.
  4. Equipment Implementation (10%) – Lead projects from concept to launch, ensuring efficiency and automation advancements.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
Assembly or Internal Logistics Engineering experience (1+ year preferred).
✔ Strong Autodesk application skills, critical thinking, and communication abilities.
✔ Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
✔ Availability for some overtime, including weekends and nights, based on equipment installation schedules.
Steel-toe boots required for on-site work.

Bonus Skills (Preferred but Not Required)

➕ Experience interpreting equipment drawings from concept to production.
➕ Knowledge of vehicle model changes and material flow planning.
➕ Background in safety improvements for material handling.
➕ Experience leading projects through Operating Procedures (OP).
