Construction Project Lead – Automotive Manufacturing (Japanese Automaker) | $30-40/hr | Local Candidates Only
Are you ready to take on an exciting leadership role in construction project management within a leading Japanese automotive manufacturer? We’re looking for a Construction Project Lead to coordinate assembly equipment installations, relocations, and demolitions at multiple North American production facilities.

✔ Lead & coordinate construction activities for assembly equipment installations
✔ Manage projects: Develop estimates, bid packages, schedules, and scopes of work
✔ Collaborate with multiple contractors to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
✔ Evaluate contractor performance on safety, quality, productivity, cost, and environmental standards
✔ Solve problems on the fly and ensure a safe work environment at all times
✔ Work during non-production hours, including weekends, holidays, and off-shifts as required
✅ Construction & project management experience in an industrial environment
✅ Strong problem-solving & time management skills to handle unforeseen challenges
✅ Technical knowledge of large machinery, electrical basics, and industrial construction
✅ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and AutoCAD
✅ Safety management experience
➕ A BS in Engineering (preferred, but not required with the right experience)
➕ Experience in the automotive, safety, or construction industries
➕ Background in skilled trades like Ironworker, Millwright, Electrician, or Pipe Fitter
➕ Experience with machine uncrate, installation, setting, and leveling
🏠 Home-based in San Antonio, TX, supporting Other Locations (Baja California and Guanajuato, Mexico)
✈ Travel required to other North American sites if the contract is renewed
