We are seeking Manufacturing Project Engineers to support various production engineering teams, including battery manufacturing, process engineering, equipment installation, new model development, and paint/vehicle manufacturing systems.
About the Role
The Conveyor Project Engineer supports conveyor system planning, design, procurement, installation, and commissioning for automotive assembly operations. This role involves developing master schedules, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, reviewing technical drawings, overseeing on‑site installation, and ensuring all conveyor systems meet Toyota standards for safety, quality, and performance.

The position requires hands‑on involvement on the shop floor, close coordination with construction and safety teams, and responsibility for technical reviews and project execution from concept through startup.

Travel may be required for vendor visits (0–2%). Work hours are typically 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with overtime, weekends, and holiday work during shutdown or installation periods.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Master Scheduling

Develop and lead the master schedule for assigned conveyor projects
Chair project, engineering, and controls meetings; track open issues to closure
Collect volume requirements and support conveyor capacity planning
Engineering & Technical Work

Prepare engineering estimates, calculations, drawings, and project reports
Review and direct conveyor approval drawings for compliance with specifications
Provide mechanical and controls design direction based on process and standards
Generate specifications for procurement, run‑off, and buy‑off activities
Perform conveyor chain pull calculations and buffer min/max analysis
Conduct structural steel and concrete load analysis (Kip loading)
Support cycle time development for conveyors and lift equipment
Apply PFMEA (Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) methodologies
Vendor & Supplier Coordination

Coordinate conveyor design and installation with North American and Japanese suppliers
Support simulation reviews to identify bottlenecks (direct simulation experience not required)
Ensure suppliers provide accurate schedules, manpower planning, and progress updates
Installation & Site Coordination

Work closely with Toyota Construction Coordinators to ensure high‑quality, on‑time installations
Coordinate with Toyota Safety Managers to ensure 100% safe work environments following Toyota Safety Standards and TCSR
Plan and track installation schedules for steel, pits, building facilities, and conveyor equipment
Confirm daily subcontractor schedules and progress
Develop and coordinate confirmation plans with TMMBC Maintenance and Assembly teams
Oversee conveyor/equipment startup, debug, and system commissioning
Required Qualifications

Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
Experience with AutoCAD and CATIA
Ability to perform:
Conveyor chain pull analysis
Conveyor buffer min/max studies
Structural and concrete load analysis
Understanding of conveyor simulation (coordination level OK; direct operation not required)
Experience developing conveyor and lifter cycle times
PFMEA experience
Strong communication, schedule management, and documentation skills
Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and shutdown periods
Eligible to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual Spanish/English capability
Eligible to work in both the U.S. and Mexico
Automotive conveyor or automotive assembly equipment experience
Experience with national building codes (BOCA, NEC, OSHA, SMACNA, ANSI)
Ability to supervise and support subcontractors and vendors during installation
Experience coordinating with Japanese suppliers

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & New Model Preparation

Lead project planning activities including schedules, budgets, process layouts, and coordination with NAMC Assembly and Logistics teams
Plan equipment and assembly changes for upcoming vehicle models
Evaluate model-change impacts on assembly processes and define technical equipment requirements
Develop long‑term equipment and technology strategies within Assembly
Equipment Development & Implementation

Lead equipment projects from concept through launch across North American plants
Mentor equipment team members throughout the model change process and standard operating procedures
Support development of new technologies, vendor networks, and competitive industry benchmarking
Create and interpret equipment drawings from concept through production
Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Work closely with TMNA Final Assembly Engineering Project Leaders, NAMC Pilot teams, Logistics, Maintenance, Internal Logistics Engineering, PEPD, and additional stakeholders
Build strong working relationships internally and externally to support OP execution
Zone & Shop Coordination

Coordinate activities within an assigned shop zone to support vehicle changes
Align with plant teams to ensure successful integration of new equipment and processes
Support internal confirmation plans with Assembly and Maintenance teams
 
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
Experience in Assembly Engineering or Internal Logistics Engineering
Ability to manage projects including scheduling, budgeting, layout updates, and vendor coordination
Ability to travel up to 20% to North American plants and internationally to TMC sites, suppliers, and equipment makers
Ability to work significant overtime (up to 30%), including nights, weekends, and holidays during installation periods

Experience creating and interpreting equipment drawings from concept to production
Vehicle model change experience

Health & Safety Specialist 
About the Role
CrossSafety is seeking a Health & Safety Specialist to support onsite construction and industrial safety operations in Princeton, Indiana.
This position provides field-level support, conducts inspections, leads training, and works directly with contractors and tradespeople to ensure safe and compliant work environments.
Responsibilities

Conduct daily walk-throughs, site audits, and hazard assessments
Ensure compliance with OSHA construction and general industry regulations
Work directly with contractors and trades to reinforce safe work practices
Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions
Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and team training sessions
Oversee site safety plans and maintain documentation, reports, and records
Support communication with clients, regulatory agencies, and project leadership
Qualifications

5+ years of onsite health and safety experience
Automotive Construction Experience
OSHA 510 and OSHA 30 Certs. (MUST HAVE)
Experience conducting site safety audits and field inspections
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital reporting tools
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Certifications in Fall Protection, Hazard Communication, OSHA, or Silica Mitigation
Preferred Experience

Background in automotive, industrial, or commercial construction
Experience leading incident investigations or corrective action processes
Familiarity with contractor management and field-level safety controls
